The NFI Protocol is a unique dietary plan based on chemical interactions of food components that was primarily developed to stabilize type 2 diabetes (DM2) and, in many cases, allows for the cessation of antidiabetic therapy. In addition to the positive impact on blood sugar levels, it also provides other health benefits such as lowering blood pressure, improving cholesterol, triacylglycerol values and significant weight reduction.

About the NFI Protocol

National Diabetic Center

Since 2018, we have been working closely with the National Institute of Endocrinology and Diabetology (NEDÚ) in Slovakia (Ľubochňa) to bring the benefits of the NFI Protocol to patients at the institute. Each Wednesday at 10:30 am, we hold lectures dedicated to the NFI Protocol in the educational room on the ground floor of the diabetes building, where patients receive detailed information about its principles and health benefits. Additionally, hospitalised patients have the option to select meals prepared according to the NFI protocol directly in the NEDÚ Ľubochňa canteen. In September 2022, we published the first book on the NFI Protocol – “Eating Your Way to Health”. Currently the book is only in Slovak language, but we are preparing electronic version in English.
