Plant-based drinks are listed in the NFI protocol for breakfast when preparing oatmeal. While following the NFI Protocol, please use only soya and almond drinks. The choice of manufacturer does not matter, but make sure to purchase a drink with no added sugar – labelled as NO SUGARS.
After completing the NFI Protocol, you can choose any plant-based drink you prefer (e.g., rice, cashew, oat, etc.). If you purchase a drink fortified with vitamin B12, do not heat it in the microwave, as this destroys the B12. Instead, warm it on the stove. If you do not purchase a drink fortified with B12, take a B12 supplement in tablet form at least once a week.
